"Financial Freedom is available to those who learn about it and work for it."
Robert Kiyosaki
Financial Freedom. Isn't it a lovely neat piece of alliteration?
A fabulous buzz phrase.
But what does it really mean for you?
As I often emphasise to my clients, Financial Freedom is not merely about amassing wealth or achieving a certain income level. Rather, it's the ability to live life on your own terms without being constrained by financial obligations.
For me this is a big deal. It's about the dream. But also about the reality. Living life on our own terms. Not what our friends think. Not what our parents think. Not what society (?!) thinks. But what feels good for us.
I talk about this with my husband a lot.
Usually on the weekend with a glass of a beautiful, smooth, Portuguese Douro in my hand 🍷. We have a constant line of communication about how our money can work for us, how we can live a life now that feels right given our circumstances, and how we can find the path to our own financial freedom to enable us to have the future we envisage.
But Financial freedom represents different things for different people. For example, it could mean
🌞 Having enough savings to retire comfortably and pursue your passions.
🌞 Being debt-free and having the freedom to start a business.
🌞 Providing for children's education without incurring debt.
🌞 Pursuing holidays and experiences without financial worries.
And a myriad of different options beside.
Each person's definition of financial freedom is unique ...
... shaped by their values, goals, and circumstances.
Part of my role as a financial coach is to help you clarify what financial freedom means to you and develop a personalised plan to achieve it, empowering you to live a life aligned with you aspirations.
It's really really exciting stuff! It's a journey, yes, but blimey it is most definitely a worthwhile one!
The thing is, when it comes to sorting out our money management and developing our plan towards our financial freedom, finding a place to start can sometimes be the hardest part of the battle.
However, I truly believe that confident money management is achievable for all of us. As is financial freedom on your terms.
And so, I would like to encourage you to explore the following question ...
